What better way to showcase Oobi’s spring range than among the carpets of wildflowers at Kings Park, Perth. Take a peek below at some of Oobi’s 2016 spring florals. The outfits were modelled by my little princesses at a photo shoot during Kings Park’s wildflower festival.
Western Australia’s wildflower trail: my field trip experience
Discovering and experiencing fields of wildflowers seemed reason enough for me to pack an overnight bag, my children, my parents and drive three days along the Everlastings Trail. Stopping to explore country towns including: Chittering, Bindoon, Dallwallinu, Bangingarra and Cervantes became a welcomed respite from the very long hours of motoring.
This journey was an experience none of us will forget. The only carpets of flowers we saw were the ones decorating the floors of the motel rooms in which we overnighted. Needless to say, we were all lost for words when on returning to Perth we came across masses of wildflowers, just five minutes from our doorstep at the Kings Park wildflower festival.
Kings Park’s wildflower festival
This year I was one of the many local and international guests who visited the wildflowers at the Kings Park Festival . Here you can visit the world’s biggest display of Western Australian wildflowers from every region of the state without having to leave the city. You can view the Botanic Gardens and Park Authority website for more details on activities and events at both Kings Park and Bold Park.
Collaboration with Oobi
LittleTravelPrincess has collaborated this Spring with Australian children’s fashion label, Oobi. As quoted to the Subiaco Post Newspaper:
“Not only are Oobi’s clothes and accessories colourful, fun and pretty, the company supports those less fortunate than us. Partnering with Global360, Global Sisters, the Mirabel Foundation and Thread Together, Oobi commits to donating a price of ‘Oobi magic’ on our behalf for every garment purchased on oobi.com.au. It is an honour to work with this great company. Oobi supports great charities and assists in making a difference to those in need”.
As I write, Oobi has just launched their Princess Icecream range. On this note, I am signing off to go shopping or at the least, taking a peek!
